Hello again!
It has gotten really hot since my last post. It is supposed to be close to 100 degrees for a few day here. That heat makes baking a little harder, but not impossible!
I have been a busy little bee lately. My cousins came down for nine days at the beginning of June and they are all super-charged balls of energy. They are so great to have around and I spent the whole time playing, talking, and doing activities. Yes, I planned for weeks what I wanted to do with them and then most of that got thrown out the window!
You never know what kids ranging from ages 4-11 want to do, so I tried to find some good ideas. The one that went over the best was the Milk Color Explosion. All of the kids really seemed to love it. I actually found a lot of great ideas where I found that one, so you might want to look around a little.
We all tie-dyed some bandannas that each kids could have. You actually use Sharpies and Isopropyl Alcohol to dye the fabric. It is more fun and interactive that regular dyeing because the kids get to use what colors they want and designs they want. You don't have to make the designs look like Mickey Mouse and I am sure you can find more suggestions online.
So, while I had all of these ideas, I actually didn't do that much this year because they were all so active, but we did do some fun stuff and I have a lot more ideas for next year.

Now, on to some pins I found recently and wanted to share. I have been obsessed with crock pots for a while now and desperately want to get one. When I do, I will be making Crockpot Cube Steak and Gravy and One-Pot Mac and Cheese. They both sound so good.
Speaking of obsession, I have been craving pickles. I have loved them for a long time and recently started buying them more know. My faves are the Bread and Butter pickles.
I even have a cucumber plant now so that I can one day make these amazing pickles. Plus, you could batter them and have deep-fried pickles.
Yum!!
This blog could be really long with all of the great stuff I have found and want to share, but I am trying to pick out some of my favorite ones.
The last two are food pins...yay!
First, up, I made a lemon meringue pie today for Father's Day and it reminded me of a recipe I found a long time ago. It used brown sugar in the meringue and made a huge pile of meringue. I didn't use it in my pie, but I just had to pin it while I remember so here you go, Lemon-Lime Meringue Pie. This meringue was so phenomenal! Make it and you won't be disappointed!
Finally, I found a fun Jello frosting recipe. Making jello frosting sounds like a great idea because of all the possible flavors and combinations. The pinner says that it is similar to a 7-minute frosting and it looks very smooth.
So that's it! It has been a super busy time recently and I still miss my awesome and fun cousins, but I have Pinterest and thought of next year's fun to keep my mind occupied.
Happy Father's Day!
